Kate Estes is a photographer and printmaker based in Chicago, Illinois who works to explore the intimacy and rhythm found in human interactions. She does this by creating paper-based, sensory experiences that evolve over time, harnessing analog film development and alternative printing methods such as silver gelatin printing, cyanotype, and etching. She is currently a BFA candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she is a merit scholar recipient and expected to graduate May 2026. Estes has exhibited work in Spectre at No Nation Gallery (Chicago, 2023), and presented an artist lecture at LATITUDE (Chicago, 2024).
